In March 1988, in Benbrook, TX,
after a decade of experience under another franchise, the Chicken Express name was born. Then, in October of the same year, Mineral Wells, TX, became the proud home base of our Chicken Express family.
Nestled in Mineral Wells, the family-run Chicken Express first spread its wings as a trailblazer in the fast-food chicken delivery arena. This innovative approach, encapsulated by our catchy slogan, “Our Chicken Can’t Fly, So We Deliver” quickly became a community favorite, setting the stage for our brand's growth.
As we expanded, so did our horizons. By 1994, Chicken Express had evolved beyond delivery, embracing dine-in, drive-thru, and select carhop services. Whether it’s a quick drive-thru visit, a family dine-in experience, carhop service at select spots, or catering for events and tailgate parties, we continue to delight our customers with the same delicious flavors that marked our humble beginnings.
